Embraced by the Light
The glow from within,
The shadows vanish
And clarity ensues.
Light brings
Focus to my view.
Floatation
For my spirit.
Purpose
To my step.
A smile
To my face.
With the dance of celebration
We acknowledge this day,
Linked to a culture,
A history,
A people and their ways.
No belonging or relinquishing
Of sorts is necessary.
For all persons
To enjoy
This universal phenomenon.
The rise and fall
Of the day.
Time is a concept
Encapsulated
By day, week
And year.
Yet true rejuvenation
Is a simple,
Breath away.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Move forward,
Let go.
Cease never to celebrate
With each moment,
Each breath,
Each day.
