She

BB0DB5A4-1950-4F37-9177-384D8312A267

Not all will see her
Lifetime of scars
Colors adorn her
Painting pictures hollow

Performing her rituals
Loads carried high
She integrates into the fabric
The thick societal weave

Her face speaks silence
Her heart cries wild
Breath she stifles
Suffocating alive

Ahead lay dry arid lands
Dusted with desolation
Yet seeds of passion fire love
Await the raining days

This spirit of woman
Has never come and gone
Without a mark
Upon at least one soul

Sisters of mothers never known
Bloom in past and future
Some blazing trails
Some leave treasures buried

So Sing and dance
Like nightingale and lark
Or roam and glide
As swans of the lake

Embrace the gifts
Of all that make the ‘her’
Rise to your part
As designed by nature’s Mother

  1. Yes, I read earlier, but didn’t comment… but I noticed since reading she II, you write in different styles as well… These are treats for women and for a man like me that celebrates a woman uniqueness. I don’t understand how a man can’t appreciate women when a woman carried him for all those months..well that’s another blog or poem by you…smiling…

    1. Thank you again
It’s good to get comments and critic
I don’t even see my different styles.
The writings come and get somewhat moulded from feelings and thoughts… inspiration… well you know how that is…

We all need a better appreciation for each other.. across the species, as well as amongst us… we humans have the hardest time being true to our peaceful nature… our ‘advancement’ May in fact be our demise …

And I will ponder your inspirational thought for another poem😊🙏

      1. absolutely… the power that be advance in things, but not in compassion nor humanism…
I read them both out loud… she II is like a water fall and she is like a river approach the waterfall… or it could be the spacing which makes a difference in how i read it…but nevertheless both styles worked

      2. Ahh.. interesting that you would say ‘like a waterfall’ as my initial inspiration for She II was the vivacious pianist below…

Thank you for indulging me in a conversation about my writing…
