Day Light Robbery

In the grand scheme of this intriguing play
Perhaps we are insignificant
Like the little robin
In just another tree
Yet during the play
How positioned is he and we
To enjoy the array of fleeting pleasures
Dancing on the stage
From a hedge of roses
To fields of tulips
Mountain sides of poppies
And lakes skimmed with lotus
Where ever you may be
Rural or urban
Rustic or pristine
Don’t miss the current act
As some plays have one or two
Some three or four
But what is unknown
Is how many is yours!
Move towards something
And it gets closer,
True for everything
But the clouds!
They just never
Seem to get closer!
You take a step
They take a float
Even when finally
In a hot air balloon,
Your put your whole self
Straight into its belly,
Still nothing to grasp
Nothing to hold!
Yet all the while
Still there all around!
Such is breath.
You can feel it
You can even watch it
Without it
You cannot be!
Can you hold it?
Can you bottle it?
Can you save it for a later day?
Just as the clouds
Shower a love,
So does breath
Ultimate lover’s love.
Just as the clouds
Transport droplets from air to land,
So does breath
Link strong, you and your source.
So before it’s too late
And breath floats on by,
Connect and secure
The link on your side.
Acknowledge each one
As they come and go,
Bringing the possibilities
For what it’s all about.
Love and enjoy
Acknowledge and appreciate,
Revel in gratitude
And let each breath
Be its wait in gold!
