As twilight arrives
Vibrancy gives way,
Hues become somber
Yet a depth is present.
A new richness and dignity
Gently evolves,
And stamina and endurance
Courageously prevail.
Golden years
They are called,
Petals fade
Even begin to drop.
The cycle of returning
To the core
Scare some,
But not me.
For where I came from
I will go,
And my salvation
Always in love…
For where I have felt love
Has been
And is
My way home.
