Independence

Independence Day

Liberty!

Justice!

Freedom!

All corner stones of a great nation right?

Independence of thought, will and action

With an unalienable liberty for beliefs, customs, values

Most importantly, the practice of prayer in a God of your own understanding,

With equal justice for all men

And a freedom for the love and pursuit of joy and happiness.

Vibrational words

Marked by human sacrifice

Now parrot-like repeated

With what understanding?!

For a moment

Put aside national independence.

As a citizen in your own body

Do you know your own voice?

Or is it drowned out by the noise

Of your conditioned, ego driven mind?

What liberty do you strive for?

Have you considered the company of your silence,

Where your heart beats and leads;

Not the burdens of duties, obligations and expectations.

Is there justice in your existence

For the proclamation of life

A celebration granting acknowledgement of breath,

As, is it not, the foundation of every living moment?!

And freedom!

What freedom has been denied?

When here we are

On the ONE planet, Earth

Amongst a plethora of stars, galaxies and the cosmic web.

Such great qualities in life have never been acquired

They have been GRANTED.

The artificial boundaries, barriers,

Conjured and conceptualized,

Giving man seeming power over one another.

Results ??

Trials of war created

Supposedly treaties signed

Societal order, developed and sustained?

What evidence of the painstaking history

As today with loss of the individual’s

Self awareness, consciousness,

Nurturing of dignity and gratitude.

What do we have left!?

If you need to fight

Fight for and then surrender

To your inner glory

Where resides the greatest source of

Of all wisdom

Giving you your liberty, justice and freedom

Once felt, each man will become your brother

Each foe, seen as your troubled friend.

Differences dissipate

As the power from within cannot be unseen.

Attend, practice

To that which shows you your way,

Let your candle never be dimmed

Allow your joys’ greatness reign over any challenge.

Reclaim this independence, liberty

Justice and freedom;

Your God given rights from birth,

All the way through

To the very end.

Father’s Accolade

IMG_7964

First a guardian
Hovering behind mother hen
Yet always ready
To take the reigns

Then a playmate and true supporter
With horseback rides
As bike holder
Even a fan in the bleachers

As life goes on
And all the work is done
Now the father comes to light
As he is physically
No longer always in sight

You remember the helping hand
Each time you lift
An oversized box,
You hear his words
Each time you decide
Your ‘yay or nay’
Your feel a push
Each time you move
Further into unknown worlds

This is a father
The one to let you hold
His finger and assure you
The one to let you go
So you can go adventure
The one to push you forward
So you make your dreams come true..

Cradled

Upon the leaf
the dewdrop does rest.
Nestled amongst the twigs
the egg does rest.
Cradled in the shell
the pearl does rest.
Does your beating heart
In your chest, rest?

Against all the odds
With no sliding off
Atop the satin soft leaves
the dewdrop rests.
No cracking no piercing
Between brittle bramble twigs
the egg nests.
No irregularities and perfectly unique,
In mineral enamel shells
Lays the pearl to rest.

And you
So gently encased
Have you felt
How you do rest?
In your skin, in your chest
So graciously bestowed.

So befriend your abode
It’s where you can rest.
Know your caretaker,
Feel how you are carried
And so sacredly married.
Through sickness and health
For richer or poorer
Through good times and bad
Til death do you part;
So don’t miss your find
To know your true home
That constantly cradles you so.

In The Moment..

In the quiet of the moment

All noise
All burdens
All distractions
All dissipate

In the nakedness of the moment
All layers
All colors
All embellishments
All relinquished

In the nothingness of the moment
All abundance
All magnificence
All completeness
All revealed

In the beauty of the moment
All vulnerability
All transparency
All simplicity
All acknowledged

All in just a moment
All the sound of quietness
All the completeness of nothingness
All the beauty of nakedness
All free to be felt and owned
All found in the moment
The home of everything

My Divine

img_4108
You are so near,
Yet when distanced
Even my longing is but a pleasure!

And when I return within
To this place of my home
The sweetness is so familiar
Yet constantly refreshing with the wonder of being alive..

How you are the salt to all my sustenance
The butter making all my richness.
Together I am complete
Apart I remember my fortune.

What simple divine grace and precious living..
What more is there to say
Than Thank you!
And may I always continue
Each day
In that one irreplaceable union with you.

Close your eyes..

image

Close your eyes…

Colors beyond the spectrum
Hues composed of love
Sparkle yet softened
Engulfing yet inviting

A beauty unparalleled
Not visual but felt
Alluring yet freeing
Enamoring yet calming

This colorful beauty
The picture of a living haven
Visible in clear sight
Yet needing no eyes

Letting go…..

Hiding from the inevitable

Avoiding the breakdown

Denying the process
Come I say, come!

Full force and break me

Fill me with your pain
Drown me, then wash with you

Away the momentary anguish

Leave me cleaned and empty
My choice to feel the void

My blessing to fill with love

My clarity to know the truth
What’s truly mine

I can never lose

Yet given freely and abundantly replenish
This is the story of love

Never to be lost

Only to be gained
Wellspring eternal

Even for the mortal

Mesh, merge and mingle
Into every moment, everyday

Let transient slip and slide

And love shine and be forever bright
