But where is that one lover?
The one that stays when all others have come and gone
The one who loved you before you knew you where loved..

Close your eyes, go within
Feel the kiss of life as each breath comes
Lean on that shoulder as the outside dissipates
Know those carrying arms as weightless you become..

Resides within and beside you

Guarded by boney bars
Cushioned by spongy sacs
Sits the organ of the heart

Vessels entwining
Chambers pumping
Valves snapping
Fluid flowing
All operations
24/7

Ghost or twin
Yet Another heart
Lays deeper still
So deep
For some it’s never found

It yearns a cry
To be acknowledged its there
Wanting a freedom
To dance and praise
Revealing its secret
To love unconditionally
The very one it inhabits

It is true
We were granted
Two hearts
In one frame

Do you know them both
Have you befriended them equally

One
You cannot live without
The other
You have not lived until you have found

Find your heart
Dig out of its cage
Wear on your sleeve
And shine like a star

As love
Will then surely illuminate
And darkness
But shrink away!

Fire and Fury!!!

Zestfully we charge around
Feeling all so important
Stomping to get our so called missions accomplished.

Any little obstacle
Oxygenates the sleeping embers of discontent,
With ignition triggered
The flames dart in every direction
Greedily collecting any fuel
To justify the road taken
And warrant the complaint and fury…

But there is another fire
A fire with embers soft and calm
With flames that comfort and heat
With light that draws you to home

However, even this fire will roar
And when it does, there is no fear
For the roar is the heart’s cry of knowing that true power is present…

The choice is there
Which fire to fan
Which heat to feel,
Demonic and destructive
Or rescuing and restorative.

Look around
Then look within.
Find the fire
That brings love not fury
That brings comfort not fear
And can never be put out.

GUARDIAN

If ever a claim to ownership
It is a mother’s to her child.
Her entire focus is comfort and contentment
As she provides that aura of security and guardianship.

The child goes on her way
Each day anew
To play, learn and laugh.
The mother watches, waits and facilitates
Every one of her strengths and conquests…

Standing very close
She’s also just as ready
To pick up the pieces
To shine the light
So home of the heart
Is never far from sight.

As mothers, we sometimes cry.
But when we smile
Nothing is warmer,
Not even the rays of the sun.

But who waits for the mother?
Who laughs when she laughs?
Who’s shoulder does she lean on?

In her time
She too had her mother.
But all along
For both mother and child,
There is another.
One that’s beyond this time and space we see
Beyond the materials we hold and feel…

This guardian
Is closer than close.
So much so
That its integral form to all
Makes it the most obvious
Yet still hidden..

How can this be?!
Why is it so?!

All so perfectly postured
The discovery is as sweet
As the recognition and knowing,
Of how with every one of her steps
Her hand was always held
Her heart always filled
And all she had to do
Was to understand
This ever present divine guardianship….
